Social Security Applications - CHICAGO
The Social Security Office has reached out to InterExchange and said that in the past few years, many Irish students have showed up to their office in groups of 15 or more, many without having ever registered in SEVIS, contacted the sponsor, or prepared any paperwork for their application.

For students going to Chicago in 2013, please use the dates below only when calling to the Social Security office. The offices will have a special conference room set aside for Irish students on these dates and the following times:

Wednesday, May 29          9:00 AM-11:00 AM (Wednesday-- all Social Security offices are only open until noon).
Thursday, May 30th          9:00AM -12:00 PM
Thursday, June 6th              9:00AM – 12:00 PM
Monday, June 10th             9:00 AM- 12:00 PM
Friday, June 14th                  9:00 AM- 12:00 PM

Also attached is a full list of offices in Chicago. Many students go directly to the Loop office at the advice of locals in Chicago, but there may be much closer offices for them. The Loop offices had serious problems last year and are hoping to avoid them in 2013.
