Newport is a city found on the east coast, in the smallest state of America, Rhode Island. This is a lively and popular summer spot. Newport is located 45mins from Providence and approx. 1 hour from Boston City. Newport is a small city so bicycles are used by most people. A fantastic place to work as a sailing instructor!

Accommodation

Many employers in Newport will provide accommodation along with your job. If searching for accommodation independently, be sure to start your hunt early. A tip to remember is by law you are only allowed 5-unrelated people living in one house or apartment in Rhode Island! 

Brewer St. is a great place to live with lots of students and it is right in the centre of Newport near all the shops, restaurants and bars. The main street of the city is Thames St. so any street located off it would be ideal e.g. Anne St., Brewster St.  The Broadway and Memorial areas are also popular.

It is advisable to avoid anywhere in Middletown as it's too far away!
