"My SAYIT J1 adventure took me all the way to Montauk, New York, where I spent three amazing months working at Salavars Restaurant.

Montauk, known as "The End" of Long Island, has this laid-back coastal charm that instantly makes you feel like you're in a movie. Every morning I'd wake up to ocean air, turquoise water, and that small-town buzz that only summer by the sea can bring.

Working at Salavars was both challenging and rewarding. The restaurant sits right on the sand, and it quickly became more than just my workplace- it was a place where I met people from all over the world, learned how to handle busy summer crowds, and discovered what it really means to be part of a team. From serving seafood platters at sunset to laughing with co-workers after long shifts, every day had its own story.

Outside of work, Montauk offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. We spent days exploring beaches, grabbing coffee in local cafés, and soaking up every bit of that golden summer energy. It was the kind of experience that teaches you independence, adaptability, and how to enjoy life's simple moments.

Looking back, my SAYIT J1 experience wasn't just about work- it was about growth, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. Montauk and Navy Beach will always have a special place in my heart."
