Accommodation
The two most popular places for J1ers to live in Myrtle Beach are Fountainbleau Inn and Oasis Motel. They are owned by the same people and are across the road from each other. As they have one owner you get to use both location's facilities such as the washers and dryers and even the 2 swimming pools. The rooms can accommodate 2, 4 or 6 guests with some having kitchens and others cooking facilities in the room.
Another alternative would be the Darlington Apartments. They generally accommodate up to 6 people per apartment. You can also check out these as well:

Job Hunting
Popular areas for jobs in Myrtle Beach are Broadway at the Beach and Family Kingdom amusement park (E-mail: resources@family-kingdom.com). The majority of J1ers in Myrtle Beach work in either of these locations, so they’re definitely worth looking into.
Apart from those, there are plenty of restaurants, shops and cafés around the area of Broadway at the Beach. To name a few, Hard Rock Cafe and Joe's Crab Shack.
Another possibility is Restaurant Row, loads of busy restaurants such as Giant Crab or Garcia’s hire J1 students each summer. Ocean Boulevard has plenty of work, including amusements, bars and diners etc. Some restaurants to try are; Mammy's Kitchen, Peaches Corner and Italian Ice (an ice cream brand that has multiple locations). Other favourites include Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin Robbins.
You can also try North Strand Beach Services Inc. for jobs in the service industry.
